Product and Service Update
ITpreneurs releases update of ITIL® Intermediate Service Offerings and Agreements course
Having gained experience while doing over 100 deliveries of SOA across the world in the past months, we have received and incorporated valuable feedback from partners, students and instructors, to further enhance the delivery and the learning experience.
The first course that was released under this program was Release Control and Validation (July). We are excited to announce the completion of the second updated course: Service Offerings and Agreements v1.2 . This course is now ready for ordering by ITpreneurs partners.

What has changed

  • Better guidance for instructors:
Detailed visual presentation material is available for instructors to explain concepts, highlight the interfaces between the publications or introduce exercises. Talking points help the instructor to deliver this content.
  • Enhanced usability of the material:
Students receive a workbook containing course reference material and additional self-study information. The workbook further includes all exercises that are completed in the class as well as the answers to these exercises.
  • Clean up any obvious errors:
From all the Intermediate courses, the Managing Across the Lifecycle course is the most application driven course. The course design caters to this and provides a well-balanced approach to combining lecture and exercises.
  • Strengthening of Exercises:
In Q4 of this year ITpreneurs will be launching its’ Expert Boot Camp program to the market, providing an ‘ITIL v2 Service Management approach’ to ITIL Intermediate courses. Managing Across the Lifecycle was developed in such a way that it seamlessly integrates with the ITpreneurs Boot Camp design of high energy and fast paced experiential learning.
  • Homework:
There is emphasis on 21 hours of homework as indicated in the official Syllabus.
What else are we doing
  • We will have two update releases for ITIL v3 Intermediate Capability courseware:
Operation Support and Analysis (OSA) v1.2 on September 15, 2009
Protection and Optimization (PPO) v1.2 on October 15, 2009
  • MALC PMI credits:
Students taking ITpreneurs’ Managing Across the Lifecycle course can now earn PDU’s (Professional Development Credits) as the course is now registered with PMI (Project Management Institute).
  • More focused Course Familiarization for Instructors:
The emphasis of the new Course familiarization includes a more detailed course walk through of materials with less focus on program design.
  • In the near future:
The program will be modularized further using building blocks that can be flexibly deployed to accommodate the needs of trainers who enter the program at different levels.
